2006 is a very important year for Grace Bible Church. This fall the church reaches the three-year point, and the point at which it is our desire to be a self-supporting church. The Lord is blessing the ministry, and we are seeing good progress toward this goal. (there are ministry updates at the end)

This special offering is for two important events on the schedule between now and this fall.

First of all, Lord willing at the end of June Adam & Kristi Lee will move to Menifee. They bring not only graduate degrees in music, but more importantly love for people, discipleship, the local church, and church planting. They will be the first permanent addition to our team. One of their major obstacles will be the up-front cost to get into a rental home. The first month’s rent plus a security deposit can often total $3000. This is a major obstacle, and we would love to be able to cover this up-front expense for them.

Then, at the beginning of August, we are planning a major week of outreach. Lord willing August 1-4 we will host several more Backyard Bible Clubs, as we did last year. This year, we are adding a Parenting Conference August 5-6. Pastor Eric Sipe is scheduled to come and speak. Last year we had contact with many parents through the Clubs; we are very excited about being able to invite them to a Parenting Conference the very next weekend. The church here will make a significant financial commitment to this, but we are asking for your help to enable us to reach out to the entire community through advertising for these clubs and the conference.
